A Roborock Matter announcement gives model and rollout context; it does not prove your installed firmware or every platform control.
Official 2025 rollout snapshot
Roborock’s March 31, 2025 release listed a planned early-April Matter rollout for the seven models below. The published version numbers document that announcement. They do not establish that a particular customer’s robot has installed the update or that later versions have identical controls.
| Model | Announced Matter firmware snapshot | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| S8 MaxV Ultra | 02.37.88 | A dated rollout snapshot, not a current minimum or proof of installation |
| Saros Z70 | 02.40.92 | A dated rollout snapshot, not a current minimum or proof of installation |
| Saros 10 | 02.32.44 | A dated rollout snapshot, not a current minimum or proof of installation |
| Saros 10R | 02.32.44 | A dated rollout snapshot, not a current minimum or proof of installation |
| Qrevo Curv | 02.26.02 | A dated rollout snapshot, not a current minimum or proof of installation |
| Qrevo Edge | 02.26.02 | A dated rollout snapshot, not a current minimum or proof of installation |
| Qrevo Master | 02.27.40 | A dated rollout snapshot, not a current minimum or proof of installation |
Platform support is a separate question
Roborock named Apple Home, Google Home and Alexa as intended Matter ecosystems, but explicitly cautioned that available functions differ by device and ecosystem. Google’s Matter documentation lists a robot-vacuum device type; that does not prove a particular Roborock command, room map or cleaning mode is exposed in Google Home. Apple Home also has its own software and hub requirements.
What to check on your own unit
- Confirm the precise model name and market region in the Roborock app and on the product label.
- Record the installed firmware; compare it with current model-specific release notes rather than using the 2025 snapshot as a minimum-version calculation.
- Find the Matter pairing option in the current Roborock app and check the target platform’s supported vacuum features.
- Test one basic cleaning action. Keep maps, room targeting and vendor automation in the Roborock app unless separately documented in the target ecosystem.
If the Matter option is missing
A product marketing page may still say an OTA is coming while a later release note lists an update. This discrepancy is a reason to check the installed firmware and rollout region, not to factory reset immediately. If the feature is unavailable for the exact device, leave the compatibility result unknown and use the manufacturer’s support flow.
