Find documented smart switches and see the connection checks that matter before setup or purchase.
What this group includes
Wall controls require a physical wiring and load check. A Matter route cannot make an incompatible electrical installation safe.
Read the manufacturer’s wiring diagram for the precise SKU. A neutral conductor, multiway circuit, fan load or low-wattage LED can change suitability even when the wireless protocol matches your hub. Do not open a live electrical box for a software compatibility check.
Checks that change the answer
- Identify the wiring, neutral and multiway circuit with the model diagram.
- Compare the permitted LED, fan or motor load.
- Only then verify controller and platform support; use a qualified electrician when unsure.

Before choosing a model
Confirm the exact US product number, generation, radio protocol and physical installation requirements. Check each requested platform feature separately; a general smart-home badge is not a feature guarantee.
